Chase the magical Northern Lights! With 10 years’ experience in Northern Lights tourism, the focus during this safari is on quality, comfort and ensuring that you have a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
The Northern Lights coach will take you to a location with the best weather & solar conditions for spotting the Northern Lights. After finding the ideal scenic backdrop and conditions for photos, your professional guides will help you with camera settings and photography to get the best shots of the Northern Lights.
After around two hours, there will be a break at an exclusive Aurora Camp out in the wilderness. These camps have two comfortable lavvos (Sami tents) and toilet facilities. You will be divided into groups of no more than 20 people in each lavvo and served hot drinks. Listen to enchanting Arctic stories while grilling your own supper on an open fire.
Although Northern Lights sightings are never guaranteed, we find them most of the time. Join us for a chase and experience the thrill! When the time comes, we will bring you back to Tromsø and you will get a ride directly to your hotel.

OPTIONAL EXTRA: 10:30 Morning transfer to Snowmobile Safari (must be added when booking, if you choose to have a lie-in, your transfer to the Ice Domes will depart at 13:00)
Your exhilarating snowmobile adventure will start at 12:00PM from the Ice Domes. No previous skills are required to drive a snowmobile. All you need is a regular driving license, and a safety talk will be given before the tour. You will set off through the Finn valley, passing scenic mountains and forests.
At the end of the track, you’ll get the chance to test your skills at high speeds on an ice-covered lake! With luck and the right weather, you may even be able to try ice fishing on the lake. Snowmobiling is done in pairs per snowmobile, with each person getting the chance to drive.
If you choose to do this activity, you will go straight from this to the Ice Domes. If you choose to have a lie-in, your transfer to the Ice Domes will depart at 13:00
14:30 Visit to the newest Ice Domes near Tromsø
The snow and ice art reflect the unique bond between man and nature in a unique and breath-taking manner. The ice bars, our ice cinema, the ice hotel suites and ice restaurant have varied themes every year. These are conveyed through beautiful coloured lighting and wondrous ice sculptures. In our guided tours, we paint a detailed description of arctic history. Tromsø Ice Hotel is much more than just an ice art exhibition or a regular ice hotel.
On arrival, you will be greeted by your guide. They will start by explaining the construction process of an ice hotel, and the impact on snow for the survival of our arctic animals. A non-alcoholic ice shot at the stunning ice bar is complementary.
18:30 Dog Sledding under the Northern Lights
After some free time with a guide and a hot meal, you will receive an introduction and instructions on how to drive a dog team. When you’re ready, drive the dog sled on your own into the white landscapes. The tour passes through the beautiful Vass Valley, a side valley connected to the great Tamok Valley.
Look out for the Northern Lights above you as you glide through silent snowy landscapes! The area where you lead the sled is totally uninhabited, with a landscape of mountains and forest. Out in the wilderness, these dogs fit in to their environment.
NB! Northern lights sightings cannot be guaranteed due to weather and solar conditions, but we will do our very best!
