The town of Tromsø, famously used as the Gateway to the Arctic by all the famous Polar explorers, is the perfect place for seeing the Northern Lights in Norway. The city of Akureyri known as “The Capital of North Iceland” is a great location for seeing the Northern Lights. This city features a thriving cultural scene with multiple bars and restaurants. Northern Iceland also features many beautiful lakes and waterfalls. If you’re in luck, you may even see some whales on a Whale Watching cruise. Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland is a great place to see the Northern Lights. Rovaniemi is known as the home town of Santa Claus and features Santa Claus Village along with many more Santa related locations city-wide.
