Day 1: Night in Tromsø
Arrival Tromsø
The Airport Express transfer service easily gets your hotel, Clarion The Edge in Tromsø, for check-in. An optional alternative is a taxi from the service desk at the arrivals hall.

Day 2: Reindeer Sledding
Reindeer Sledding
11:00 Transfer from Tromsø
Join the English speaking authentic Sami guides for a Reindeer Sledding tour. They come from a Sami family with long reindeer herding traditions. Have a sleigh ride like no other. Enjoy an unforgettable experience of pure reindeer sledding. Also an introduction to Sami culture. The Samis are the only indigenous people in Europe. They have been nomads in the Arctic territories of Russia, Finland, Sweden, and Norway.
Optional – Northern Lights Cable car
19:00 Transfer from Tromsø
Get ready for an evening like no other. With your guide, head up the famous cable car of Tromsø for a welcome drink at dizzying heights overlooking the island and mountains of Tromsø. This is the perfect spot for seeing the Northern Lights and taking in the sights from the high panoramic viewpoint.
Enjoy a locally sourced Norwegian salmon or reindeer burger in the mountain lodge next door as you learn more about the Northern Lights, Tromsø, and the surrounding area. Your Northern Lights watchman will alert you to the Northern Lights so that you can view them outside the mountain restaurant away from light pollution. Here, you can truly appreciate the endless snow, mountains, and the mystical Northern Lights.
Approx 22:00 – Transfer back to Tromsø

Day 3: Ice Dome or Polar Park Visit

POLAR PARK:
9:00 Arctic Route Coach Departure to Polar Wildlife Park
Your comfortable coach departs from Tromsø city centre to the Arctic wilderness, where you will see some amazing native Arctic wildlife. The Arctic Route coach is fully equipped with comfortable seats, refreshments offered onboard, charging outlets, and WiFi along with this magnificent scenery.
12:00 Arrive at Polar Wildlife Park
Polar Wildlife Park is the world’s northernmost animal park & arctic wildlife centre. Animals you’ll see in winter include wolves, lynx, moose, and muskox. They look especially great in their natural habitat with thick winter coats! These predators live in wilderness enclosures with massive spaces to roam, so you may need the full three hours to see all of them.

ICE PARK:
Treat yourself to a guided tour of the magical new winter wonderland, the Ice Domes; a day visit to Norway’s newest ice hotel.
Set among high mountains in the beautiful Tamok Valley, Tromso Ice Domes is constructed each year when the Polar Night approaches. The snow and ice art reflects the unique bond between man and nature in a unique and breath-taking manner. The ice bars, the ice domes, and ice restaurant have themes ranging from local Sami culture to the Northern Lights conveyed through beautiful coloured lighting and wonderful ice sculptures.
On arrival at Tromso Ice domes, you will be greeted by your guide who will inform you about the construction process and lead you to your snow activity day, creating ice sculptures and building snowmen. You will be able to purchase other drinks and order a delicious meal of locally produced bacalao, which will be served in the ice restaurant.
OPTIONAL EXTRA WITH THE ICE DOME VISIT:
Dog Sledding or Reindeer sleedding wiht teh Sami (dog sledding not suitable for children under 10 years of age)
No experience needed. All the equipment included. The guides teach you how to use the sled, and into the wild we go!
Age Restrictions: 10+. Health requirement: Able-bodied and in good form.

Day 4 Departure
Day 4 in Tromsø & Departure
Last day of the Family Frozen Winter Adventure. Pick up your final souvenirs before heading back to reality. We can recommend cool places to go and things to see that you won’t find back home, including:
- The Polar Museum
- The Arctic Cathedral
Flight departs from Tromsø Airport to Gatwick, London

**Bring a warm hat, gloves, and scarf, thermal wool or similar long johns and underwear as well as warm winter boots and socks. We recommend you also bring Gortex trousers and a Gortex or down jacket.
